Newborn babies can be easily suffered from chapped lips as any other people. Chapped lips often occur in the winter because of the dry air. Your baby’s lips become chapped and dry, they will not want to eat. Chapped lips must be treated, and your babies will not be hurt. After that, they can continue with their feeding. Parents can treat chapped lips easily at home.

·         Lanolin

·         Towel

·         Vaseline

1.    Rub some of lanolin on their lips. Just dab a bit on your finger and wipe it in. It’s safe to use and doesn’t harm when they lick their lips. Lanolin stimulate the cure of chapped and dry lips.

2.    Breastfeed them and leave a little on their lips. Human milk has many antibacterial and healing properties that can cure the chapped lips.

3.    Rub some of Vaseline before sleep. You can use your finger or a piece of cotton wool. It helps protect your baby’s lips and keep him moisturizing overnight.

·         There is one type of Chapstick which is natural and safe for your children’s lips. Ask your doctor before using.

·         Cover their lips when you are outside. Turn them back when moving to keep the wind from hitting their faces. Letting the air constantly hit the lips is a sure way that makes your babies have chapped and dry lips.
