Tips and warnings

·         Change your baby’s position every time she nurses. This will ensure that your nipple is not always getting compressed in the same way.

·         Do not nurse only from one breast. Use both of your breasts, which helps you get less hurt.

·         Let your baby nurse from the less-hurt breast. She nurses more vigorously when she gets started.

·         Not only you will get hurt but also your baby will be disappointed if she doesn’t have a proper latch.

·         Do not use petroleum-based products on your nipples.

·         Check your nipples often if they are cracked and bleeding, for signs of infection.
