How To Bathe An Infant

Bathing infant can be very scary for the little newborn, especially if you are not sure how to handle your infant. An infant does not need daily baths and a quick wipe with sponge bath is often enough in the first few weeks of life. However, if your infant prefers the shower, this is some basic steps to bathe baby without scary.

Instructions

1.    Collect all wash utensils such as baby body wash, towel and linens.

4.    Put your baby off and put your baby’s feet into water first carefully, while supporting baby’s head and neck with the other hand.

5.    Embed wet towel to wash baby’s face and pour bit baby body wash over it. Gently wash baby from top to bottom with carefulness. Pour a cup of water filled up the baby when you are wiping to keep your baby warm.

6.    Use a piece of cotton wool moistened with warm water to wipe your baby’s eyes and gentle face. If there is dry sticky in their eyes or nose, just pat it with wet cotton ball in few times to soften it before you wipe. Clean thoroughly the genital area.

7.    Lift your baby carefully from tub after bathing. Keep your baby’s neck and head with certainly in one hand and the bottom with the other hand. Your baby can be very slippery when wet, so be careful.

8.    Wrap the baby with a hooded towel quickly, cover your baby’s head with hood and wrap the baby with the rest of towel.

9.    Dry baby in a warm room and apply a moisturizer for your baby if your baby’s skin dry.

10.  Dress the baby.

11.  Embrace your little angle, hug and kiss it.

Advice and precaution

Never leave your baby while bathing. If you have to answer phone call, take the baby and wrapped him in a warm towel.
