What you shouldn’t do

First: eating too much sweets

Eating sweets during pregnancy is necessary but you should keep it at a moderate level. The reason is that, the glucose excretion function of pregnant women will reduce; if the glucose level in the blood is high, the kidney of pregnant women will be overloaded, which is not good for their health. At the same time, eating too many sweets is a reason causing overweight in fetus.

Second: forgetting to take multivitamin every day.

As said, according to a nutritionist who is also a cook in New York: “A regular person can get all the essential nutriments from the food through a reasonable diet. However, for pregnant women, eating is not enough; you should take daily multivitamin before and during pregnancy to  compensate the deficient amount of vitamin and mineral”.

Third: lazy in drinking water and not eating much food containing fiber

During pregnancy, at work you should have a glass of water in front of you and a back-up bottle of water so that you don’t forget to drink water frequently. Drinking much water for pregnant women is very healthy, avoiding dehydration and preventing constipation. To prevent constipation as well, you should use fiber-rich foods such as bread, whole-grain cereal and noodles, along with vegetables and fruits. Pregnant women should make sure that they supplement at least 25-35g fiber to their body each day.
