British fashion designer behind quirky label 'House of Holland', Henry Holland, has commented on how to dress stylishly for Halloween which is just around the corner. The designer believes the spooky holiday shouldn't be used as an excuse to wear skimpy costumes and he hates when he sees it: "I personally can't bear it when people mistake the word 'Halloween' for the word 'sl*tty'; it's not a holiday for wearing the tartiest outfit and getting away with it."

Advising on how to look stylish for Halloween, Henry says to stick to a simple colour palette such as black and orange which ties in with the holiday. He also believes people should avoid Halloween clichés in order to look their best and try something fresher looking: "Halloween is a laugh and I'm not that sure you should even try to look stylish, but if you insist, then I'd suggest keeping to a colour scheme. Black paired with this season's deep orange will give you instant Halloween realness without giving off that Bo Peep cliché that I'm really not keen on."

Henry reveals that he'll never be seen wearing a hat because he has grown his hair to balance out his facial features and a hat would hide that balance he has created by having his hair cut in a stacked quiff on the top of his head: "I have been sporting an ever-increasing quiff since I realised - around age 17 - that it disguised my tiny pea head and further distracted from my large nose."
